Michael Van Der Graaf
Michael completed his degree in Physiotherapy at Cumberland College (now University of Sydney) in 1988, and his Masters of Orthopaedic Manipulation from Charles Sturt University in 1999. Michael started Total Care Physiotherapy in 2000 and has been serving the Tamworth community as a physiotherapist since then. He has certification in vestibular rehabilitation from a course conducted by world leading experts in the field from Mayo Clinic, Duke University, The Emory University and East Tennessee University. Michael is also a Watson Headache Certified Practitioner.
Jessica Barnes
Jess grew up in Tamworth, moving back to work as a physiotherapist after graduating from Newcastle University in 2014. Jess has worked as a physiotherapist at Total Care for over 10 years now. Following her undergraduate degree, Jess went on to complete a post graduate certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through La Trobe University in 2022. Jess can provide treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries in both our Tamworth and Quirindi clinics, with a special interest in treating shoulder pain along with chronic or complex neck and back pain.
Cassandra Penrose
Cassie is a local girl who grew up in Gunnedah before attending high school in Tamworth. She completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Newcastle in 2018. Cassie currently works part time, spending her time off chasing after her two energetic boys. Cassie enjoys treating a wide range of different patients but also has extra training specifically in paediatric physiotherapy and dancing injuries.
Ned Hoath
Ned grew up in Coonamble, a small town in Western NSW before attending high school in Tamworth as a boarder at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School. He completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Newcastle in 2024. Ned is passionate about all areas of physiotherapy including musculoskeletal conditions, sporting injuries and vestibular rehabilitation.
