Shoulder Pain
Shoulder pain is very common. It also often does not get better on its’ own. Of all people with new episodes of shoulder pain, about half will still have it one year later. Recent research is showing that the most common problem is to do with the tendons in the shoulder. Our approach is to work out exactly what is causing your pain, where the imbalance, tightness or weakness is in your shoulder muscles. We then work with you to relieve the pain and to rehabilitate your shoulder for long term improvement.
Elbow Pain
Pain in the elbow can be caused by the tendons, muscles, joint or nerves. Through a detailed assessment our physiotherapists can identify the root of your pain and develop a tailored treatment plan to speed up your recovery.
The most common types of elbow pain are lateral epicondylitis (Tennis elbow) and medial epicondylitis (Golfers elbow). This pain is caused by irritated tendons and muscles that attach onto the bones at your elbow and control the movement at your wrist and hand. It is most common in people who play sports or have jobs that involve repetitive wrist and arm movements.
Wrist/Hand Pain
The wrist and hand are extremely complex structures and involve many small working parts to function properly. Pain in this area may be caused by a local dysfunction but may also be coming from other areas like your arm/shoulder or neck. Luckily our physiotherapists are experts at finding out the source of your pain and providing you the treatment you need to overcome it.
